My car does not appear to have been fixed. My service advisor Nik called me to come down and drive the car with him so he could hear the noise it was making. Afterwards he calls saying they have found the problem, a few other problems were listed as well. I agreed to few repairs. $2200 later I get my vehicle back and it is still making the same noise. I am waiting on a call back to resolve this issue. Second issue: there is a safety recall on my keys (something to do with the air bags), I agreed to have this taken care of when I dropped the vehicle off. I signed off on the paperwork at pick up then later realize nothing had been done to my key. It was still one piece. Third issue: when I picked my vehicle up I asked three different individuals what steps were taken to sanitize for Covid? No one seemed to know. The last gentleman was the individual who pulled my vehicle up. When asked that question he did not know but the vehicle had been sitting out in the heat so it should not be a problem. I cleaned the inside of my vehicle before departing. Fourth: my vehicle is now making a new noise. Normally, I would just call and have it looked at. Now Im questioning if it was done in the shop, what exactly was done in the shop, was anything really repaired, how can I be out $2200 and have no improvement only an extra problem.
I brought my truck in June 5th for an issue with my transmission. It turned out that I also had bad fuel injectors. So all of this work was done over the course of a few weeks. The work and communication thanks to Kelly Moon were excellent. However, once my vehicle was ready and I went to pick it up. I noticed the truck was covered in bird poop and dirt. The inside of my truck was covered in dirt and dust as if the windows were left down all day and dust just covered everything inside. There is a smell that can only be described as chemical and plastic in nature when you turn on the AC. Which in the TX heat is a requirement. Finally, I found empty water bottles, and oil stains in the bed of my truck as if my truck were used as a dumpster at some point. All in all I am happy with the work done on my vehicle and the excellent communication and customer service of Kelly Moon. However, I am not happy with the fact that my truck was in the possession of Huffines Chevrolet for better part of 2 months and I got my truck back in the condition that I did.
I had no concerns or problems with the service to me or my car. My only concern was that the waiting room had too many people in it and social distancing was not followed. I left the waiting area two different times to ensure I could maintain my social distance. If it had been warmer outside, I may not have been able to do that. I know you can't control who has car trouble, but is there a way to expand seating for the waiting room? That is the only reason, I did not give the maximum scores on this survey.
Anytime I have to bring my car in for service, whether for scheduled maintenance or scheduled and unexpected. This time I had to call in because I thought my car needed an alignment and tires balanced. I decided to get a rental because of the shaking my steering wheel was doing and unable to get a loaner this time around. After I took my car in and the diagnose was that my front tires had separated and needed new tires, needed front brake pads. I was glad that I did make the decision to rent a vehicle due to the distance I have to travel to work and getting off at night. I was not expecting that due to being in the process moving and other expenses. I thank goodness I had redeemed my available point from GM loyalty program. I have to say that my service advisor, Mr. Mike McLarty is always concerned and caring. He want what is best for the customer's safety and is very honest. He is the best and always make me feel comfortable when having to spend my money on any maintenance service or repairs that my vehicle need. A big thank you to Mr. Mike.
I worked with Kelly Moon, a Service Advisor. He is a great advisor... very honest, friendly, and caring. I understand every business needs to make a profit. However, car dealers are notorious for selling us products and services that we don't need at elevated prices. Today's consumers are very educated and well informed, thanks to the internet. Please don't work too hard in trying to SELL us anything, just give us advice on what we need for our cars with care and respect, and we'll be happy to become your customers for life. My previous experience at Huffines Chevrolet was very disappointing. Another advisor scheduled me for a factory recall; when I drove in for the service, this advisor was not there, and came to find out the recall was already done on my Tahoe; wasting a lot of my time and causing unnecessary frustrations. I've been thinking of driving by Huffines on my way to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine for future new cars and services. Please don't set your goal to convince customers to give you the highest star ratings; Huffines can easily earn 5 stars just by doing what's good and right by the customers. I believe this is reiterating what Mr. Huffines says on his TV commercial.
