Plan Flexibility

When you sign up for the Chevy Appearance Guard plan, you gain access to a lot of flexibility. You can cancel it at any time for any reason, including if you sell the vehicle without transferring your Appearance Guard contract. If you're in the market to sell your vehicle and want to transfer your Appearance Guard to improve your vehicle's value, you can easily do so when you complete some simple paperwork and pay any applicable transfer fees.

Refund Available

If you only want to protect your vehicle's appearance for a short period, you can do so and get your money back at the end. You may sign up for the Appearance Guard plan and get a full refund within 60 days if you don't file any claims. Note that if you file a claim within the 60-day refund period or cancel after this timeframe, you'll receive a pro-rata refund.

Various Term Lengths Available

The Chevy Appearance Guard plan has various term lengths available to suit your needs. The term lengths range from 12 to 72 months. You can easily sign up for a one-year plan if you have a short time remaining on your lease or settle into a six-year plan if you've just bought a new vehicle that you plan to hang onto for a while. No matter what term length you choose, there'll always be a $0 deductible for any claim you file.

Paintless Dent Repair

Dents and dings are bound to happen. Stray shopping carts, careless bikers, falling debris from trees, and hail are just a few potential culprits. While these things may be out of your control, you can still take measures to protect your vehicle by investing in the Appearance Guard plan. This plan covers any ding or dent that's up to four inches in diameter on your vehicle's exterior body panels.

One of the best things about this area of coverage is that there's no limit. If you have the misfortune of experiencing back-to-back dings in a single week, your dealership will address them without asking questions. The Appearance Guard plan covers unlimited repairs for however long your service contract is.

Interior Fabric Repair

No matter how hard you try to keep your vehicle's interior fabric in top condition, it may sustain some unsightly damage from normal everyday use. As long as the damaged area is no more than two inches in diameter, the Appearance Guard plan covers it. Coverage includes damage like tears, rips, cuts, and burns on the vehicle's carpets, seats, and upholstery. For example, the plan will cover a small area of the carpet that the family dog tore with its paw. It can also include a small section where a curious child was picking at a frayed seam.

Key or Key Fob Replacement

Even though your vehicle's keys or key fobs don't relate to your vehicle's looks, they still receive coverage under the Appearance Guard plan. Your Chevy dealership will replace damaged, lost, or stolen keys or key fobs. The plan covers up to $400 per key for standard models and up to $800 for luxury models. This coverage is available for any continuous one-year period, and it becomes effective once you surpass a 60-day waiting period. Note that this coverage is only available if your dealership gives you two keys at the time of your initial vehicle purchase.

Windshield Repair

No matter if you're driving down a bustling city road or abandoned country street, your vehicle isn't safe from flying road debris. Thankfully, the Appearance Guard plan covers minor cracks and chips in your windshield as long as they're no bigger than four inches in length. With this plan, you can efficiently address a damaged windshield to increase your visibility of the road and prevent a shattered windshield.

Are There Any Exclusions?

There are a few exclusions with the Appearance Guard plan. For example, the plan doesn't include any damage that was present before the coverage took effect. So, if you have a small dent that you noticed years ago and are just now signing up for appearance coverage, you won't be able to address the dent using the Appearance Guard plan. This plan also excludes:

• Losses that an auto insurance policy, manufacturer recall, or OEM warranty covers.

• Damage that results from a traffic collision.

• Damage to the vehicle's tires, windows, bumpers, or grille.
